We are staying at a lovely campsite in Mullerthal that reopened 3 weeks ago after being closed for 5 years due to flooding. On arrival George’s handbrake cable decided to snap! So we are using chocks (we carry two for wheel changes). Monday is a bank Holiday in Luxembourg (but not in Germany). We intend to head for a Land Rover garage in Germany to get it fixed and possibly the failing idler pulley bearing while we are at it. It is one of those times when you wonder why you own a Land Rover! However there are thankfully days when it is a joy to have one (yeah, really!). We have plenty of time so we can get things sorted. Among the myriad of Land Rover spares we carry we don’t have a handbrake cable! Doh!
Sunday 22nd June 2025 – decided to stay here another night before heading to get George fixed in Germany.
Went on a 10 kilometre walk along the river and through Beech woodland. An area of limestone with interesting rock formations and clear clean water.
33 degrees Celsius here today! Thankfully a little bit of breeze and cool at night so can get a good nights sleep. Catching up on clothes washing.
